Within 8 years of actual market presence the Solar Bollards are now operating in many global locations, over this time they have been the only proven product in the market place today as all the other competitor products have not or only been around for a couple of years.The engineering, design and development of the bollards have been ongoing since 2003 now resulting the design being the Worlds No.1 Solar Bollard Registered Design No. 332890 compared to any other commercial solar bollards available.

Dusk to Dawn Lighting

LED lights run at full power from dusk until dawn since the correct power model is always supplied for the specific installation location. Lights are not dimmed after a specified number of hours nor use proximity sensors which could be triggered randomly causing over-cycling the battery.

The SBL2 Solar LED Bollards have proven long-term resistance to the most extreme conditions in more than 35 countries. These robust luminaries survive submersion by ocean waves, impact from golf ball-sized hail, constant exposure to the desert sun, covering by snow and attack by vandal

Extended Light Output

SBL solar bollard lighting can operate for more than 5 days without sunlight depending on LED power rating. Power rating is set for the specific installation location and conditions.

All SBL solar bollards are custom configured, taking into account the geographical location, the sunlight profile during the winter solstice, the longest night hours and required autonomy in days, and whether the bollards will be subject to shading at any time during the day.

Bird Resistant Top Dome

With no flat surfaces or edges for birds to grip on, SBL bollards eliminate the need for bird spikes and ensures debris or dust cannot easily settle and reduce the charging capacity of PV panels.

Using this solstice snapshot, we account for the longest winter nights, the shortest hours of daylight, and the low-tracking sun when shadows are longest. This ensures the correct power model is supplied to suit the actual project, not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ assumption that is made with off-the-shelf supplied bollards.

Impact Resistant Polycarbonate Dome Top

Dome top design prevents any direct impact on the solar module due to distance between the dome and the PV cells. A shock absorbing adhesive attaches the solar module to the internal reflector, also reducing the risk of shattering.

With this customized approach, solar bollards can be supplied (in some locations) which will still operate in full shade or with snow coverage where only ambient irradiation is available to recharge.
